my name is larry parker i started and own parker curdogs ......i have owned and hunted these dogs for over 19 years .... i owned blackies mother and father and he is the foundation of my line of dogs .... after years of hunting different females i found two brindle females that i thought would cross well with blackie ...and those two females bred to him several times is where my breeding started ...now i line breed within the dogs i own ...... about myself i come from a family of dog hunters. i can remember my dad comeing in from gathering hogs out of state for people that had hog marks in different areas up and down the sabine river bottoms in texas....and we have always ran hogs here in the calcasieu river bottoms here in louisiana ... times have changed since i was a kid where you walked in the river bottoms til you hit fresh sign and the dogs would bayup several if not dozens of hogs at a time .....we would then mark and cut the ones that wasn't worked ......but now its a whole different ballgame ...logged out cutovers and hunting pressure has made the wild hogs of today exteremly weary and travel for miles in a single night .......with these changes has made many folks that hunt dogs go to longer rangeing find baydogs or dogs that have a real good track nose and a ton of drive to stay with a running hog or to cold trail a single several hour old track .....this is the type of dogs i use to breed with in my breeding line ............................
